SRX26355996: Root material sample T=tank, R=root number
1 ILLUMINA (NextSeq 2000) run: 121,981 spots, 73.4M bases, 22.6Mb downloads

Design: Root sample collected at trial end. T=tank number, and R=root per plant samples. Water from dietary treatments (fish tanks) were used to grow plants in separate tanks with aquaponics. These were Control diet :Tanks 1,6,9; Protease diet: Tanks 2, 5, 8; Humic substance diet: Tanks 3, 4, 7.

Study: Effect of exogenous dietary protease and a humic substance on growth and microbial composition of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) and romaine lettuce (Lactuca sativa) in a biofloc-integrated decoupled aquaponics system
show Abstracthide Abstract
Microbiome sequences (16s rRNA) from Nile tilapia, biofloc fish system water, and romaine lettuce roots. The fish were raised in biofloc systems within a greenhouse and fed one of three diets (a control diet, a diet with a protease complex, and a diet with humic substance added). The water from the system was then used to grow romaine lettuce. At the end of the trial, fecal samples were collected from the fish, water samples were collected from the system, and plant root samples were collected from the romaine lettuce to assess microbial communities.
